Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action Plan Public Information Session
The Town of Winchester invites residents to attend a Public Information Session for the Town's Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action Plan on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 5pm at Winchester Town Hall Hicks Room, 338 Main Street, Winsted, CT 06098.
The meeting will be hosted by the Town's SS4A Action Plan consultant, Tighe & Bond, who will present the data, findings, and community feedback collected through the Town's Interactive Roadway Safety Survey, which closed at the end of May 2026.
During the session, residents will learn about roadway safety concerns identified throughout Winchester and review potential recommendations for future safety improvements. The presentation will highlight roads, intersections, and community destinations that may be considered for infrastructure and safety enhancements as part of the Action Plan.
Community participation is an important part of the planning process, and all residents, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. This is an opportunity to learn more about the project's findings, ask questions, and provide input on proposed strategies to improve safety for all roadway users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit users.
