Winsted Water Works has announced a postponement of all meter replacement appointments scheduled through May 1, 2020. Additionally, the April 15, 2020 shutoff date is postponed until further notice. No shutoffs for lack of response will take place at this time.
Winsted Water Works has been aggressively replacing faulty and/or outdated equipment over the last few months. Many property owners have received one or more notices from Winsted Water Works regarding
these upgrades. However, due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, steps are being undertaken to
ensure the safety of employees and town residents.
Once Winsted Water Works can begin scheduling appointments, those requiring equipment upgrades and/or repairs will receive a notice. Please note that property owners will always have thirty days to
