The Winsted Water Works will continue the water main flushing program in sections of Winsted Friday, March 27, 2026, weather permitting.
The first areas to be flushed will be E Wakefield Blvd, Shore Dr and adjacent areas.
The purpose of the water main flushing is for routine maintenance.
Water main flushing will take place between 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. The discoloration of water will be temporary. If the condition persists, please contact the Water Department at 379-4101.
