The Winsted Water Works has begun conducting their Water Main Flushing program in sections of Winsted. This water main flushing will continue through the early spring months.
The first areas to be flushed will be all roads on the south side of Main Street, Winchester Road, Boyd Street, West Wakefield Boulevard, East Lake Street, Meadow Street, West Main Street, Loomis Street, Coe Street, Prospect Street, Pratt Street, Willow Street, Rowley Street, and all the streets in between. Please note that the purpose of the water main flushing is for routine maintenance.
Water main flushing will take place between the hours of 8AM and 3PM. Please be advised that the flushing process may cause discolored water and reduction in pressure. The discoloration of water will be temporary. If the condition persists, please contact the Water Department at (860) 379-4101.
