Emergency Management Director Steve Williams reports a Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service and remains in affect until 7PM on Monday, November 2, 2020. Eversourse currently reports 183 of 6137 customers are without power, representing 3% of total customers in Winchester, according to Mr. Williams. The following roads in Winsted have either tree branches on wires or wires down:
- Florence and East Mountain Avenue (blocked)
- 102 Old Robertsville Road
- Spencer Street
- 108 Forrest Avenue (Blocked with numerous trees and wires down)
- 110 Sterling Trail
- 142 Losaw Road (Blocked)
- 49 High St
- 147 Rugg Brook Road
- Laurel Way
- Platt Hill Road
- Taylor Brook Road
Please be advised Eversource crews are working on downed lines in town. However, because of the weather issues (wind advisory), Eversource is not giving estimates of restoration times for now.
