**6:45PM UPDATE** - Water has been restored to Wallens Street. The Department of Public Works appreciates the patience of residents, business owners, and local travelers as infrastructure improvements continue throughout town.
**URGENT UPDATE AS OF 3:15PM ON 6/17/21** - The Department of Public Works is advising that residents in the section of Wallens Street undergoing road improvements should expect an interruption in water service. Please continue to monitor the Town's website and/or Facebook page for more information. Updates will be provided as they become available.
Department of Public Works Superintendent of Streets Phil Bascetta is advising local travelers that work will continue on a section of Wallens Street from North Main Street to White Street. Work was pushed off earlier in the week due to thunderstorms. Road improvements will continue today. Crews were delayed yesterday in finshing the pipe work after the discovery of an unmarked gas line. Wallens Street will again be closed to thru traffic today from 7:30AM through 3PM. Work is expected to be completed today.
