The Winsted Senior Center is sponsoring an Aging Mastery Program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30AM to 12:00PM. Beginning June 18th and continuing through July 18th, this free workshop encourages mastery of skills that lead to improved health, stronger financial security and overall wellbeing. Meet new friends, learn new things, provide support and encouragement to others and get involved. Welcome Jay back to the Center and learn how the State budge will impact older adults and the Town of Winchester and let them know your thoughts. Veteran’s Coffee Talk with Wayne on Wednesday, June 12th at 8:30AM at Winsted Health Center at 115 Spencer Street in the lower level. Presenter Wayne Rioux, a Vietnam-era Army veteran and veteran’s liaison will lead a discussion about updates, benefits, military culture and events. Open for veterans and their spouses. Refreshments will be served courtesy of Hartford Healthcare. Cost is free and walk-ins are welcome.
Father’s Day Luncheon with Entertainment on Wednesday, June 12th at noon. Father’s Day is a wonderful time to appreciate all the love dads give to their children. Enjoy bratwurst on a roll, sauerkraut, pasta salad, beet salad and apple strudel for dessert and then shake, rattle and roll with the music of Trevor. Cost is $6 for a ticket. A 50/50 raffle drawing is also planned.
