Winsted Water Works has announced a planned temporary water shut-off to begin at approximately 9:30AM on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Crews undertaking repair work to a water main do not expect the water to be off for more than four hours. Once service is restored, water may be discolored for a short time. If the discoloration persists, please feel free to contact the Town of Winchester Water Department at (860) 379-4101.
Areas of town affected include South Main Street from Whiting Street up to the Route 8 South ramp, including Strong Terrace.
