Spring Cleanup-Town Cemeteries
Spring clean-up will soon begin at all municipally operated cemeteries: Forest View Cemetery, Center Cemetery, Winchester Center Cemetery, Old North Road Cemetery, Hurlbut Cemetery, Danbury Quarter Cemetery & Wallens Street Cemetery.
Please remove winter decorations by April 1, 2025, to allow for thorough maintenance and ensure the beauty of the cemetery is maintained. Any items remaining when the spring clean-up begins will be disposed of by the Town.
What to Remove:
- Winter decorations, including wreaths, artificial plants, and other seasonal items.
- Dead or decaying natural vegetation.
Why the Cleanup?
- To maintain the aesthetics and cleanliness of the cemetery.
- To allow for proper lawn care and maintenance procedure.
- And to comply with cemetery regulations. (See the link below)
