Dear Residents and Business Owners:
The Town of Winchester has entered into a construction contract with Richards Corporation, Inc. of Terryville, CT to complete a road improvement project on Elm St. This work is being done as part of the Road Improvement Bonds. Work begins July 8th and should be completed by the end of October.
As part of the project, Traffic will frequently be disrupted during working hours to allow the work to be completed. Please plan accordingly. The Contractor is finalizing his schedule for the work. The progress of the work depends on the weather. Updates will be provided as work progresses.
The work to improve Elm St begins with the replacement of the Drainage system out to Main St. Then, the curbing and sidewalks will be replaced. After the sidewalks, the road pavement will be removed and replaced. The Road surface will be rough while this work is being completed. Use Caution when using the road.
