Road Closure Notice
Case Avenue from Gay St to Center St
Dear Residents and Business Owners:
The Town of Winchester has entered into a construction contract with Dayton Construction Co., Inc. of Watertown, CT to complete a road improvement project on Case Avenue. This work is being done as part of the Road Improvement Bonds.
As part of the project, Case Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Gay Street to Center St during working hours beginning August 29th to September 8th to allow the work to be completed. Please plan accordingly. The work may Extend to Case Avenue from Center to Main St. The progress of the work depends on the weather. Updates will be provided as work progresses.
The work to improve Case Avenue begins with the replacement of the Drainage system out to Main St. Then, the sidewalks will be replaced. After the sidewalks, the road pavement will be removed and replaced. The Road surface will be rough while this work is being completed. Use Caution when using the road.
