A public hearing is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, March 24th at 7PM as the Town of Winchester Water & Sewer Commission is considers a sewer rate increase to fund sewer system infrastructure improvements, preventive maintenance, and increased operating costs. This proposed rate increase is the first one since 2017. Rates proposed to increase include:
- Quarterly Meter Base Rate
- Quarterly Meter Usage Fee
- Quarterly Fixture Base Rate
- Quarterly Fixture Fee
- Quarterly Low-Pressure Grinder Pump Maintenance Fee

Public Hearing will take place at Winchester Town Hall, 338 Main Street, 2nd Floor, P. Francis Hicks Room, Winsted.
