Everyone is invited to a PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING, State Project #162-154, Rehabilitation of Bridge #05131, Sucker Brook Road over Sucker Brook Spillway

TO BE HELD Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the P. Francis Hicks Room of Winsted Town Hall, 338 Main Street, Winsted, CT 06098.

Residents, business owners, commuters and other interested individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about and discuss the proposed project.

The bridge, built in 1966, consists of one 86' span with reinforced concrete I-beams and cast-in-place concrete slab supported by reinforced concrete abutments and wingwalls, founded on bedrock.  The total structure length is 95' with a curb-to-curb roadway width of 28'

The proposed rehabilitation consists of replacing the existing concrete deck and utilizing the existing concrete I-beams.  The clear span length of the proposed bridge will be approximately 86' with a curb-to-curb roadway width of 28', consisting of two 14' travel lanes.

Construction is anticipated to commence in 2019 based on the availability of funding, receipt of required environmental permits and rights-of-way.  The estimated cost is approximately $1,025,000 and will be funded with 80% federal aid and 20% municipal funds.
