The Recreation Department has announced that the 2020 Beach Parking Permits have been sold out. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year, fewer stickers were sold this year than in past years and were made available on a first come, first serve basis.
Please note that the said permits are for parking lots only, not beach use. Permits provide beach-goers access to park in both lots on a first come, first serve basis. The Town of Winchester Recreation Department does not charge to use town beaches. Parking permits are required from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Monday through Sunday, from 10AM to 6PM, when lifeguards are on duty. This is the only time when parking permits are required. Drop-offs and walk-ins can access both town beaches so long as rules and regulations are followed.
