The Free Summer Meal program is available to local families again this year beginning Wednesday, June 30, 2021 and lasting through August 18, 2021. No advanced sign-up is required for the weekly pick-up. A weekly pack of seven breakfast meals and seven lunch meals are available to all local children, age 18 and under, and to children with Special Needs up to age 21. Local pick-up is scheduled for every Wednesday at the following locations:
The USDA’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as the Summer Meals Program, is a federally funded, state-administered program that provides free, nutritious meals to kids during summer break. Summer Meals meet federal nutrition guidelines and are composed of milk, fruits, vegetables, grains, and meat or another protein. Summer Meals are offered at over 500 sites around the state from June to late August, serving combinations of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
