Through the generosity of The Friends of the Beardsley Library, a number of passes are available to various museums around Connecticut and nearby Massachusetts. These passes may be checked out just like any other library item. There is a limit of two (2) museum passes per family per loan period. You must have a valid library card in good standing (no fines, fees, or overdue material) to check out a library museum pass. Museum passes may be checked out by adults, 18 years of age and older using their own library card.
The following is a sampling of museums for which the Beardsley Library has passes: American Museum of Tort Law, Beardsley Zoo, Children’s Museum/Roaring Brook Nature Center, Connecticut Science Center, Connecticut’s Old State House, KidsPlay Childrens Museum, Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, Mystic Aquarium, New Britain Museum of American Art, Norman Rockwell Museum, Peabody Museum of Natural History, Springfield Museums and Wadsworth Atheneum.
The hours of the Beardsley Library are Tuesday – 10AM to 8PM, Wednesday – 10AM to 6PM, Thursday – 10AM – 8PM, Friday – 10AM to 6PM and Saturday 10AM to 2PM.
