The Winsted Senior Center has scheduled several holiday functions for the month of December and early January, including the following:
Holiday Luncheon with Cabaret Holiday Music and Winsted Senior Center Club Bake Sale on Wednesday, December 12th, beginning at Noon...Enjoy a special lunch of Chicken Cordon Bleu, Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Butternut Squash, a Snowflake Dinner Roll and for dessert, Cheesecake with cherry topping. Then...back by popular demand, Sherrie Zicardi will sing popular and traditional holiday favorites. Cost is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. There will also be a holiday raffle drawing.
Westfarms Mall Holiday Shopping & Lunch on Tuesday, December 19th, leaving the Center at 9:30AM. Make your list, check it twice, finish off your holiday shopping, maybe pick up something for yourself, enjoy the decorations, window shop and visit with Santa. Then take a break and enjoy lunch at your choice of restaurant. Cost: donation welcome, lunch not provided.
New Year’s Luncheon with Tom Alvord Music on Wednesday, January 9th, beginning at Noon...Enjoy a special lunch of Roast Beef Auju, Twice Baked Potatoes, Peas & Mushrooms, Herbed Dinner Roll and an Eclair for dessert. After lunch, get comfortable and be entertained by a chief songster and banjo picker featuring “those good olde songs”. Cost is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. A special New Year’s raffle drawing will also be included.
