Have you heard?! Great things are happening in Winsted!
Along with Winsted’s 85th Annual Laurel Festival happening this past weekend, Saturday featured a ground-breaking at 80 South Main Street, the site of a new state-of-the-art medical facility. Hartford Healthcare and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital plan to relocate and expand CHH Winsted, with a planned opening in Spring 2020, which shall include an emergency department, radiology and mammography services, a LIFE STAR helicopter pad, primary and specialty care, and a sleep center.
Speaking of healthcare in Winsted, Community Health and Wellness Center of Greater Torrington will soon be holding their grand opening at their beautiful new location at 10 Center Street in Winsted. In other exciting news, the Little Red Barn Brewery located at the former Lambert Kay factory on 32 Lake Street is slated to open to the general public by the end of the month. On Tuesday, June 25th, Little Red Barn Brewery will open their doors from 5PM to 7PM for “Pitch Night”, an event sponsored by The Entrepreneurial Center of Northwest Connecticut/Northwest Connecticut Community College. Open to the public, the networking event is geared toward folks interested in launching start-up companies and will have business founders and mentors available to function as a sounding board for you to pitch your business plan.
