Summer is coming to a close and another school year is beginnning. Students of Winchester Public Schools will return for the 2018-2019 academic year on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Opening Day for 7th and 9th Grade, International and New Students of The Gilbert School is also scheduled for Wednesday, August 29th. Opening Day for all students at The Gilbert School is August 30, 2018.
The Town of Winchester would like to remind drivers to be mindful and cautious as more students will be on the town's streets in the coming weeks. Drivers are reminded not to text or talk on cell phones; to slow down in school zones; to be aware of students; and to always pay attention to school buses.
