The 22nd Friends of Main Street Fall Foliage Festival will take place on Saturday, September 28th, from 10AM to 3PM downtown on Main Street in Winsted between the YMCA and Case Avenue, to be held rain or shine.
Attendees of this popular annual event will discover approximately 70 exhibits provided by local artisans, businesses, and community organizations, as well as food trucks, live music and other demonstrations. Attendance is free and there is also an opportunity to win a prize package of local merchant gift certificates by filling out a free Fall Foliage Festival door prize ticket on FOMS Facebook event page. There are also official festival t-shirts that can be ordered on the FOMS web site.

The event will feature an arts and craft fair, food trucks, and of course, homemade pies, local maple syrup, fried dough, the Health Food Corner's organic cafe, Monaco’s famous pizza, Padre’s Mexican cuisine, Mama Pho’s new Bubble Tea! Food trucks on hand will include Cheez Trailer in Paradise, The Singing Sliders, and Maiky Hotdog. Family activities will also be provided, including the popular bounce house, balloon artist, and face-painting for children.
“This year’s festival will feature musical entertainment by Mike Hodorski and Company, Jim Moore, and Sam Guglielmino,” says Fran Delaney, president of the board of directors of Friends of Main Street, the non-profit organization that organizes the Festival. “They’ll be playing hits from the ’50s through the ’70s, some classic country, and some original songs too. Also, we have a professional magician.”
Visitors and residents alike can experience all Winchester has to offer here in Winsted, Winchester Center, Highland Lake, and a converted mill building with an exciting project underway, all on the same day! The 5K Highland Lake Hustle, a road race, kicks off at 9AM (Click here for more details)
Additonally, Winchester Center Day with a vintage car and motorcycle show and revolutionary war encampment will be held on Saturday beginning at 10AM and lasting through 2PM. (Click here for more details).
