The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that a drainage pipe replacement project will occur on Rt. 263 (Winchester Rd.) in Winchester, having begun, May 17, 2017. The project consists of replacing drainage pipe on Route 263 (Winchester Rd.) from Woodland Street to Laurel Street in Winchester by DOT maintenance forces, according to State Representative Jay Case.
Regarding Closure Information, please be advised that a detour route has been established from Boyd Street to Woodland Street onto Laurel Street, returning back to Boyd Street. Road Closure is scheduled from 8:30AM to 3:30PM.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
