The Department of Public Works reminds property owners about the scheduled gas pipeline maintenance. The Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company, owners of the natural gas delivery transmission pipes, has scheduled maintenance to their off-road pipeline rights-of-way. This pipeline maintenance shall include vegetation management, tree trimming and grass/brush mowing. Clearing work will be occurring on or about February 12, 2018 through April 15, 2018, at which time work will shut down for the benefit of wildlife. Maintenance work will resume on August 1st and is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
Tree trimming has been contracted to the company, Northern Tree. Mowing has been contracted to the company, Cane Mechanical.
