**UPDATE: Planned disruption for 8:00PM has been canceled as a result of the corrective work undertaken earlier on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.**
Winsted Water Works has announced a brief disruption in water service scheduled to begin at 8:00PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Crews will be working to replace a gate valve thereby necessiating the water to be shut off in the area of Park Place West and North Main Street from Grove Street to Wetmore Avenue.
Water in that area will be turned off at approximately 8:00PM and will be restored as soon as possible. However, please be advised that the shut-off is expected to last for approximately 4 hours. Additionally, Winsted Water Works has advised that when service is restored, water may be discolored for a short time. Should the condition persist, please contact the Water Department at 860-379-4101.
