Board of Selectmen Forward Hinsdale School Renovation Project to Special Town Meeting and Referendum

On July 29, 2019, the Winchester Board of Selectmen adopted a resolution to appropriate $17,425,000 to renovate the Mary P. Hinsdale Elementary School.

The Selectmen also set a Special Town Meeting to present the resolution to the voters for Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 7PM in the Pearson School at 2Wetmore Avenue in Winsted.

The Selectmen also scheduled a Referendum vote on the resolution for Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 8AM to 8PM at the Isabelle M. Pearson School located at 2 Wetmore Avenue in Winsted.

The Selectmen also referred the Mary P. Hinsdale Elementary School Renovation project to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a CGS§8-24 approval.  The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to review the request at their August 12th regular meeting.
