Winsted’s Annual Fireman’s Carnival kicks off Wednesday, August 16, 2017 and continues through Saturday, August 19, 2017. Located at the ball fields at 75 Rowley Street, the fun begins at 6:00PM with the carnival closing at 11:00PM. The carnival features delicious food including Tower 1’s famous Fried Dough. Among the attractions are a dunk tank, games, bingo, blower ball, music and rides for the kids. Wednesday and Thursday nights are “Wrist Band Nights”, with ride wrist bands available for $20. Friday night will feature fireworks. The Parade on Saturday beings at 6:00PM, with marchers traveling down Main Street.
Additionally, the Winsted Fire Department is graciously hosting a food-drive to benefit the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Winchester. The donation bin will be located near the Dunking Booth. A donation of three non-perishable items will net the donor three free dunking balls. Please note the Salvation Army will continue to accept donations on Thursday and Friday, too.
