Winsted’s Annual Fireman’s Carnival is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25, 2021 and continues through Saturday, August 28, 2021. Located at the ball fields at 75 Rowley Street, the fun begins at 6PM with the carnival closing at 10PM on Wednesday and Thursday. Hours of the Firemen's Carnival on Friday and Saturday are 6PM to 11PM.
The food tent will include fried dough, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, onion rings and french fries. Raffle tickets with six excellent prizes will be available at the carnival grounds for purchase. Attractions include games, bingo, blower ball, music and rides for the kids. Wednesday and Thursday nights are “Wrist Band Nights”, with ride wrist bands available for $25, allowing unlimited carnival rides. Friday night will feature one of the county's largest and most colorful fireworks displays at 9PM, with a raindate scheduled for Saturday. The beer garden at the carnival will host a DJ on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The parade on Saturday beings at 6PM. It is one of the longest fireman's parade and marchers travel the length of Main Street. More than 30 fire departments from throughout the state will look their best to compete for trophies.
