The 85th Annual Laurel Festival begins Friday, June 7, 2019 with the Laurel Festival Ball in East End Park from 6:00PM to 11:00PM.
Events on Saturday, June 8th, include LaurelLive, a benefit concert beginning at 10:00AM in East End Park. The Town of Winchester Recreation Department is hosting this all-day fun event and concert. The day's activities will include bands, singers, songwriters, children's activities, refreshments and more. Donations will be accepted with all proceeds benefitting the Salvation Army and the Soup Kitchen of Winsted.
Line-up of LaurelLive includes Eric Paraine at 10AM, Mike & Joe Hodorski at 11AM, Paige Zenutis at 12:10PM, Matchstick Architects at 1:00PM, Jim Moore & Company at 2:10PM, Axe Factory Band at 3:00PM, Adelaide Punkin at 4:10PM, Chronic Rhythm Band at 5:00PM and Travlin' Trout Band at 6:30PM.
On Sunday June 11th, join our vibrant community with Winsted’s Laurel Parade beginning at 2:00PM. This parade promises to be a showstopper! Enjoy marching bands from Pearson School, The Gilbert High School, Waterbury Fife and Drum, and the Hurricanes. Come and see our Senior Center’s Laurel King and Queen! This year's parade will include amazing floats as well as all of our wonderful contestants, sponsored by local businesses and town organizations. Parade festivities culminate in East End Park for the 2019 crowning!
