The Claude F. Tatro's Pond @ Town of Winchester - Tatro Park is open 365 days a year from Dawn to Dusk.
Parking lot will be closed to motorized vehicles from November 15th - April 15th
Please dispose of trash in the bin, or carry out with you if can be recycled.
Grilling is allowed, but campfires and camping is not.
Passive recreation such as picnicking/fishing/bird watching is available at the park.
Dogs walking allowed but must be on leash at all times and please clean up after all pets - place bag into bin.
Swimming is not allowed in Tatro's Pond.
The Playground is built and the park is looking great. The Boy Scouts will be adding a gaga pit soon.
Future planned amenities for Tatro Park include:
- Reconstruction of dam
- hiking trails
- Winter recreational opportunities could include activities such as sledding hill, ice skating (if deemed safe)
The Friends of Tatro Park volunteers have been active and will continue to advocate for this natural resource recreation area.
