This dedicated open space area available to the public provides for hiking opportunities (Taylor Brook Trail), water access, passive recreation, bird watching, and picnicking. Dogs on leash are also allowed to utilize the old Taylor Brook Campground site at the intersection of Mountain Road and Peck Road. Additional hiking connection opportunity along Paugnut State Forest (Winchester / Torrington) and to Burr Pond State Park – Walcott Blue-Blaze Hiking Trail.
