Please join the Winchester 250 Committee for the official opening of our 250th anniversary, along with the tradition of a historical play highlighting significant milestones in our town's history.
The evening will begin at 6:30PM with opening remarks from Winchester 250 Committee Chair Candy Perez commemorating our 250th anniversary. At 7PM, enjoy “Winchester/Winsted: A Town of Resilience”, a combination play and presentation performed and created by volunteers of the Soldier’s Monument Commission and organized by Commission Chairman and Selectman Jack Bourque. The play will be told through the lives of more than 15 historical characters, highlighting the town’s unique growth in population, locations, business, churches, philanthropy, and humor. The suggested donation for the event is $5 per person. Tickets are not necessary for the event. Masks are required.
